HHBC Club Tournament
Braidwood Lake
April 25th 2010
The Happy Hookers
fished their second tournament of the 2010 season on April 25th
at Braidwood Lake. The Hookers had good tournament weather
with only about an hour of rain in the middle of the day.
Most anglers reported catching a lot of fish, though keepers
were hard to come by. Seven anglers came to the scales
with one fish apiece. Dave Schultz was able to secure
first place and big bass with one fish weighing 3.94lb.
Dave had the following to say about his tournament day.
" Prefished
Thursday with Charles M. and located a school of keeper bass, I
was very excited. Then came tournament day ready to go. Got to
my location along with another boat and one other came in about
8am. Another boat boated 2 keepers in the first 30 mins. me and
my partner a big fat 0. What the is going on. Well the water
came up about 8 to 12 ins and the water temp fell 5-6 degrees.
So I left pulled in another area and picked up my go to bait.
Never do understand why I don't start with it? Started flipping
the shore with my spinner bait at 11:30 and first fish was a
3.94 continued fishing that way the rest of the day but never
caught another keeper. Lot of good sticks in the club. I was
lucky to get that fish barley beating Kris G."
